Greetings Friends!

It's been a busy Summer here at the home office in Ouray, Colorado.  And now Autumn is in full swing in the Rocky Mountains!  The aspen are quickly changing from golden yellow to deep red.  There is a dusting of snow on the peaks and a briskness in the morning air.  Winter is quickly approaching and that means backcountry skiing and ice climbing are just around the corner!

But if you prefer the warmth and sunshine, don't fear, the seasons are changing fast in the Southern Hemisphere too.... Summer is coming back to an international destination near you!  Lotus Expeditions will return to Patagonia, Chile for the Austral Summer with weekly departures from November-April.

This Fall we are headed to Mustang on a reconnaissance trip of one of the last secluded and restricted Himalayan regions in Nepal.  And in December we will travel to Costa Rica to sample the local surf and world-class yoga institute at Nosara where we plan to run trips in 2009.

But I am getting ahead of myself!  2008 is looking like a great year to travel!  We have lots of new trips, weekly departures and budget options to accommodate all styles of travel.

We hope to see you in 2008 and please read on!

-Raleigh Coburn
