Join Lotus Expeditions for a therapeutic and fun sea kayaking and hot springs adventure in Patagonia, Chile.
Our journey begins in Puerto Montt, the gateway to Patagonia, and the southern end of the Chilean Lakes District. After a short stay in Puerto Varas on the shores of Lake Llanquihue, where the perfectly-conical, snow-capped Volcan Osorno dominates the skyline, we will drive a few hours south on the Pan American Highway to the village of Hornopiren.
In this small, sea-side port, we will become acquainted with our kayaks and proper paddling techniques. The next six days will be filled with spectacular paddling through some of the most stunning scenery on the planet. We will camp near beaches, soak in natural hot springs, hike through temperate rainforests and enjoy delicious food and local wine which are hallmarks of Chilean hospitality.
Our expert guides will read the tides and our daily schedule will be synchronized with the natural environment. Flora and Fauna abound in this water wilderness, where dolphins, cormorants, and sea lions make their homes.

Day 1- Travel overnight from Home Country to Santiago, Chile
Day 2- Fly from Santiago to Puerto Montt, transfer to Puerto Varas

Day 4- Begin Sea Kayaking in Hornopiren
Day 5- Sea Kayak
Day 6- Sea Kayak
Day 7- Sea Kayak
Day 8- Dayhike through temperate rainforest
Day 9- Boat back to Hornopiren, return to Puerto Varas
Day 10- Free Day in Puerto Varas
Day 11- Fly to Santiago and depart for home
